International Operations Representative - Bellevue

Description:This position is responsible for overseeing and executing internal functions for the Seattle International office. The candidate will need to streamline and develop operational processes for multi-modal opportunities including but not limited to import and export of air, ocean and customs. The candidate will help create "best practice" documentation for operational execution by working with a training coordinator to facilitate development of staff. Additionally, the candidate will work in conjunction with the sales team by identifying growth opportunities and resolving/mitigating issues that occur during the course of the transportation process. The candidate will support and draw from experiences of the Global Forwarding network at C.H. Robinson.The responsibilities for this position include:- Support and assist the International Representative(s) to whom you are assigned.- Concentrate on completing necessary operational tasks efficiently and accurately.- Assist in the creation of Standard Operating Procedures for processes needing attention. - Be actively involved in the customer account maintenance.- Communicate clearly with co-workers and customers.- Build a greater understanding of how to best generate revenue and continually develop sales techniques.- Further develop client relationships in conjunction with the sales team to gain additional volume and market share from our existing account base.- Develop rapport with overseas offices to increase our visibility in the PNW.- Develop and leverage local partner relationships with ports, airline carriers, steamship lines, cross-dock facilities, drayage partners, and local customs agents in the Pacific Northwest.Qualifications:The required qualifications for this position include:- Effective communication skills- Strong customer service skills- Attention to detail and accuracy- Ability to multi-task- Team oriented- Decision making skills- Problem solving and analytical skills- Growth and sales orientedThe preferred qualifications for this position include:- Bachelors degree or equivalent industry experienceC.H.
