Intake Specialist - Bilingual
Position Summary: Provide prompt attention to incoming calls from reporters. Determine the proper report category for dispatch and distribution of all incoming reports. Quickly and accurately enter reported information into a computerized reporting system. Clearly convey to reporter any unique client-established requirements and hold all reported information in strict confidence. Afford reporters and clients the highest levels of quality assurance regarding the confidential nature of the reported information. The Intake Specialist must hold the reporter’s integrity in the highest regard. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Using the proper prescribed greeting for all clients, answer calls in a timely and professional manner. Treat every reporter with dignity, with concern, and without prejudice. Ensure that the reporter feels secure that reports are handled in a confidential and professional manner. Hold all reports in strict confidence: no internal or external discussion. Ask all pertinent questions to (1) create a report that clearly expresses reporter provided details and (2) gather enough information so recipients can understand the report and can properly act the report. Spell and grammar check each report. Interpret calls received in Spanish/French/German/Portuguese then file reports in English. Translate documents as requested from English to Spanish/French/German/Portuguese or Spanish/French/German/Portuguese to English. Assist with special projects and other departmental responsibilities as assigned. Work a varied schedule as required within a 24/7/365 operation to meet staffing needs and client requirements.
Education:
 Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.

Required Knowledge and Technical Skills:
 Demonstrated interviewing and report writing skills. Fluent in spoken and written Spanish/French/German/Portuguese for interpretation/translation functions. Type 35 wpm by touch. Ability to multi-task. Familiar with multiple phone lines. Working knowledge of computers and computer programs, including Microsoft Word. Ability to pass background check and other screenings as required.
