INSIDE SALES TRAINEE/CUSTOMER SUPPORT REPRESENTATIVE
Graduating college? Just starting out and seeking to learn how to become an effective Salesperson? Vantage can help. Our Inside Sales Trainees/Help Desk Representatives communicate with and assist end users of our web-based applications; troubleshoot technical issues; generate interest in our products and services; finalize customer orders; and provide technical and customer support as needed. The position reports to the Call Center Manager. Most importantly, our Inside Sales/Customer Support Trainees learn the Sales business - what it takes to become a successful Sales professional and advance within our successful Sales organization.
We are looking for bright, outgoing and motivated individuals with a “can-do” attitude, who are customer-focused, effective communicators and possess the technical, leadership and listening skills needed to move from Customer service to full-time Sales professional.
Qualifications include:Have a strong personal desire to learn the business of Sales and to learn and excel in education technology Sales. Ability to quickly learn various web-based software applications. Be self-motivated and able to set and achieve self-imposed goals and objectives with minimal direction or supervision. Superior telephone and listening skills; demonstrated ability to build and manage a pipeline of opportunities and to up-sell existing and new clients. Unafraid to tackle incoming client calls related to application questions, application use, technical issues, and/or product and service orders. Make outbound customer satisfaction and sales calls. Work with end user technical staff to trouble shoot technical issues related to browser configuration, proxies, routing, and/or other network issues. Work with various Vantage departments to ensure customer needs are met or exceeded. Respond to customer emails relating to application use and technical issues, process product or service orders received by email. Assist in the QA of new products and services. Perform related customer service duties as needed.
Qualifications include:
BA/BS in related field of study; college leaders or athletes strongly preferred. Good balance of business acumen and technical knowledge. Initiative to grow and learn within the organization. Excellent verbal and written communications skills. Ability to effectively converse and interact with the sales team to offer insight, solutions and resolve issues. Excellent listening, time management and organizational skills. Knowledge of web-based applications. Technical training related to software, network services and/or online applications. Strong working knowledge of EXPLORER, ACCESS, WORD, EXCEL, OUTLOOK and POWERPOINT. Inside sales background preferred. Technical training preferred.
