The NYC Early Childhood Professional Development Institute (PDI) is a fast-paced, dynamic public/private partnership that works to ensure that all early childhood practitioners have access to a comprehensive system of professional development. The ideal candidate will be a productive member of our team and will possess a genuine interest in furthering the work of the organization.

The IFCC Project Assistant is responsible for providing support in the implementation of IFCC’s projects and the achievement of the organization’s goals.Â

Duties and Responsibilities:
Reporting to the IFCC Project Coordinator, the IFCC Project Assistant will: Research and assist in the production of a variety of periodic narrative, accounting, database and statistical reports. Present on and off site workshops throughout NYC for informal providers and others as designed by the leadership team. Facilitate access to resources and technical assistance and coordinate curricula and related materials for special projects. Translate written materials, documents, curricula and oral presentations to another language. Perform general administrative tasks, including but not limited to, maintaining databases, scheduling meetings, generating meeting minutes, etc. Other duties as assigned by the IFCC Project Coordinator and/or the IFCC Project Associate.

Qualifications:
 Bachelor’s degree and at least two years of progressively responsible administrative experience in a human services/education environment.
 Fluency, including translation skills, in Spanish or other language preferred.
 Experience managing and coordinating project technology (data collection and management, database and web site work).
 Experience coordinating multiple projects and workgroups.
 Excellent time management and telephone skills.
 Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, demanding, and complex work environment, carry out complex assignments and adapt to changing situations and priorities.
 Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher and Access. Strong computer skills required.
 Strong reading, written, and oral communication skills required.
 Ability to synthesize large amounts of information
