Hyperion Planning / Essbase Senior Consultant

The consultant will be leading and involved with all project phases including product pre-sale support demos and mockups, requirements/scope, development, testing, roll out, implementation, training and maintenance. Concurrently, the applicant must demonstrate a drive to satisfy clients through superior communication, technical, and project-planning skills, while furthering the professional growth of both the applicant and KPI. This position will require travel depending on project/client needs.Responsibilities• Translate strategic business needs into practical architecture and reporting solutions• Define systems strategy; develop systems requirements; design, prototype, implement and launch solutions• Create necessary project plans during client design sessions• Proactively and frequently communicate with customers to build and maintain a solid working relationship• Tactically develop the Hyperion Planning environment• Design and build required reports using Hyperion reporting applications• Write and maintain clear, concise functional and technical specifications on Hyperion applications, business and system processesMinimum Requirements• 4 year degree in Finance or MIS• 3-5 years minimum combined Hyperion Planning and Essbase experience• Understanding of corporate business processes, including forecasting and budgeting cycles, actuals, and corporate reporting requirements• Knowledge and ability to comprehend analytical models and their concepts from across a client’s entire organization• Understanding of business intelligence concepts• Excellent verbal and written communication skills• Advanced analytical, diagnostic and technical skills• In-depth knowledge of and experience with Hyperion product family (Reports, Analyzer, Application Link)• 2+ years Project Management experience• Certified Hyperion Professional for Planning 3.XPreferred Skills• 2+ years operational corporate finance forecasting, budgeting and planning experience• In-depth knowledge of and experience with Hyperion product family (Performance Scorecard, Hyperion Enterprise, Essbase Integration Services, Master Data Management)• Certified Hyperion Professional Essbase 7.1.2• Certified Hyperion Professional for Enterprise 5 and/or Financial Management 3.5.1 applications• Experience working with MaxL scripting language • Perl, Visual Basic, VBA, SQL, Java, and JavaScript experience• 2+ years relational database experience
