Human Resources and Research Manager

Ducker Worldwide was founded in 1961, and is a privately held company based in Troy, Michigan. We also have offices in Paris, Shanghai, and Berlin. There are approximately 120 permanent staff members worldwide, including around 70 in Troy.

 

The HR/Research Manager is responsible for managing both the human resource function and the fieldwork research process at the Troy office.  The fieldwork research process entails conducting telephone interviews with industry respondents and capturing information in an effective and efficient manner. This requires direct supervision of 25 to 30 hourly fieldwork researchers and managing production requirements for 10 to 15 fieldwork projects at any given time. The HR function supports the organization through recruiting, training and development at all levels of the organization, including analysts, project managers, support staff as well as hourly fieldwork researchers. The HR function is also responsible for HR and benefits administration, and for coordinating the performance management process. This position offers a great deal of latitude to contribute to the effectiveness of the organization and requires an enthusiastic, highly motivated individual who can work well with top management to improve processes, introduce innovative programs, and motivate staff.

The HR/Research Manager should possess the following skills:

 

· Supervisory experience

· Ability to communicate clearly and succinctly with project teams and senior management

· Strong interpersonal and decision making skills

· Experience conducting performance reviews and addressing employment issues

· Ability to organize, schedule and manage multiple tasks at a time 

· Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word, Access and PowerPoint
