ENERGIZE YOUR FUTURE  If you are an experienced HR Consultant/Generalist, highly motivated, self-organized and a team player; someone who is open and shares ideas with others with a pragmatic problem-solving approach, we invite you to consider a career with Portland General Electric.  Human Resources Consultant In this position, you will consult with Management in the implementation, administration, and coordination of all Human Resources’ programs, guidelines and policies to assist with effective use of people and achieve corporate objectives.   The ideal candidate will typically have a BA/BS degree in Human Resources, Business or related field plus 4 years’ of applicable experience.  Applicable experience includes a minimum of four years experience as a human resources consultant/generalist to include at least two to three years experience with bargaining unit employees, bargaining unit contracts and management.  Experience should also include a thorough knowledge of Human Resource functions, technologies, systems, organizational dynamics and HR principles in order to deal with diverse organizational issues.  A  thorough knowledge of all laws and regulations relating to Human Resources (eg, EEO/AAP/ADA/ FMLA, FLSA, collective bargaining) is required.  Excellent negotiation and conflict resolution skills are essential as well as thorough situational consultive/facilitative experience, problem-solving, group presentation and group process skills with excellent analytical skills.  A demonstrated understanding of supervisory roles and challenges is required; previous experience as a supervisor preferred.
