Location:US-MA-Boston Job Number:BOS0001T Employee Status : Regular Job Type :Experienced Schedule : Full-time Description Ernst & Young's Health Sciences Advisory Services (HSAS) practice focuses on helping health care organizations and life sciences companies achieve and maintain economic strength while also managing the risks they confront in the challenging health care environment. Our services address five areas: revenue management, financial performance, regulatory reporting and compliance, Managed Care contracting, and post-issuance disclosure. Our Revenue Management team has talented and dedicated individuals, supported with proprietary E&Y tools and advanced technology, who assist senior executives in many areas including pricing, charge structure, charge capture, coding and documentation, and billing compliance. We are currently seeking the right candidate for a career opportunity as a Senior.ResponsibilitiesManaging and Exceeding Client Expectations Develop and maintain productive working relationships with engagement team members and clients. Collaborate to plan the engagement. Direct daily fieldwork, information supervisors of the engagement status and manage staff performance and budget. Manage expectations of deliverables and timing. Stay informed of business/economic developments and their impact to the client.People Development Encourage independent thinking, innovation and teamwork. Share knowledge with team members, and enhance service delivery. Respect/protect confidential client information. Maintain an educational program to continually develop skills.Business DevelopmentAchieve growth. Understand E&Y and its service lines and actively seek/encourage team members to listen to client needs, contribute ideas, and identify potential opportunities to serve clients. To qualify, candidates must have: 3-5 years experience in acute care hospital and revenue cycle operations, either in industry or in a professional consulting environment, including Patient Access (scheduling, insurance verification, financial counseling, registration and admitting) and Patient Accounting (billing, collections, managed care contract administration, etc.) Consulting experience preferred Candidate should have experience performing or being a part of some of, if not all of the following project types: Patient Access - Assessment, Redesign & Implementation Business Office - Assessment, Redesign & Implementation Denials Management - Assessment, Redesign & Implementation Point of Service Collections - Assessment, Redesign & Implementation Cash Acceleration Demonstrated Project Management experience, including creating work plans, budgets, and goal setting/benchmarks. Some supervisory or management experience preferred. Ability to coach and mentor staff. Skilled at conducting training to internal and external constituents at all levels Ability to manage multiple responsibilities for any given client and/or engagement. Ability to provide targeted communication (written and verbal) to internal and external constituents, tailored to the appropriate audiences. Ability to provide accurate and effective deliverables with little to no oversight. Ability to determine the client's needs which fall outside of the scope of a given engagement and effectively communicate them to the project manager or leadership team. Ability to follow detailed work plans and complete tasks on, or before, scheduled deadlines. Ability to work on highly motivated teams as well as by oneself and deliver a high quality work product. Demonstrated ability to manage client's expectations. Proven analytical skills Ability to work with a diverse group of professionals and personalities Advanced knowledge of MS Office applications, including MS Word, MS PowerPoint, MS Excel, MS Access Professional in appearance and demeanor Bachelor's degree in business or related field. Master's in Healthcare Administration preferred Up to 80% + travel required
