HR Regulatory and Development Specialist Job Summary:Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh, located in the Oakland area of the City of Pittsburgh, is currently seeking a human resources regulatory and development specialist to work on a full time basis on a day light shift within the Human Resources Department. Under the direction of the Director, Human Resources the human resources regulatory and development specialist provides consulting services on organizational programs and initiatives that have HR implications and impact. This position identifies opportunities for improvement within the organization through research, analysis, surveying, and benchmarking. Acts as the regulatory expert for HR standards (and other areas as assigned by HR leader) by ensuring compliance through on-going audits and education. Provides support in designing action plans and recommendations to address identified deficiencies. This person also assists HR Consultants and leaders in developing, implementing, and measuring the impact of HR strategies that enhance organizational, departmental, and individual effectiveness. Job Responsibilities:· Ability to be proactive, independent, creative, and innovative in recommending and implementing solutions to HR issues and problems · Ability to analyze performance deficiencies and to determine whether training or other HR interventions are most appropriate to resolve these issues · Ability to deliver comprehensive training content in both instructor-led and virtual settings · Ability to relay concise, relevant information in a timely manner to internal and external customers both in written and verbal format· Demonstrated knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office products (e.g., Excel, Access, Word, Power Point etc.) in order to create and manipulate databases, reports, presentations, etc. Basic Qualifications:· Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Organizational Design or Development, Organizational Behavior, Adult Education or a related field required· Three years of exposure to the Human Resources function with specialized experience in adult education and/or corporate training; employee development programs; rewards and recognition; regulatory compliance; HR policy development; quality improvement and process redesign; and work-life programs required· Master’s degree in Human Resources, Organizational Design or Development, Organizational Behavior, Adult Education or a related field preferred· Prior JCAHO or Department of Health or other related regulatory agency experience preferred· PC skills required Licensure/Certification:· Act 33 Clearance will be required within 30 days of hire· Act 73 Clearance will be required within 30 days of hire· Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR), Professional in Human Resources (PHR), or other nationally recognized HR-related or Education-related certification preferred UPMC offers a variety of benefit options designed to provide personal security, convenience, and assistance to you and your family.
