PRIMARY OBJECTIVE OF POSITION

This position is primarily responsible for the administration of human resource tasks and projects.  Additional responsibilities include HRIS input and administration, reporting, employee new hire orientations, file maintenance, correspondence and providing assistance to the Human Resources Team.

 

MAJOR AREAS OF PERFORMANCE

·  Responsible for the creation and maintenance of all HR related files, including personnel, worker’s comp, LOA etc.

·  Responsible for data input into various HR systems such as HRIS, time and attendance, background, worker’s compensation etc.

·  Point of contact regarding employee relations, background and drug screenings, benefits plans and payroll,

·  Assists HR team with drug and background process, which may include scheduling of appointments and the entering of background data

·  Administers human resource programs and functions including service awards, tuition reimbursement, wellness initiatives, referral, recognition, workers compensation, FMLA, unemployment claims, open enrollment etc.

·  Conducts new employee orientations by performing such duties as ensuring the completion of all necessary paperwork, conducting company tours and presenting information on company policies and procedures

·  Compiles updates and generates departmental reports on personnel-related issues such as employee turnover, worker’s compensation claims, exit interview data and various Adhoc reporting

·  Distributes internal HR communications, job postings, Good News announcements, etc.

·  Acts as daily back up to the corporate receptionist position

·  May assist with recruiting efforts, which may include reviewing applications, interviews, extending offers etc.

·  Perform various administrative duties such as photocopying, maintaining files, preparing orientation packages, etc.

·  Regular and punctual attendance

·  Respectful and non-threatening treatment of others

·  All other duties as assigned

 

  QUALIFICATIONS (EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS) REQUIRED

·  High School Diploma

·  Minimum 1 – 2 years HR experience and 2 year related degree or PHR certification, or equivalent years of HR experience

·  Knowledge of human resource laws, principles and concepts

·  High level of integrity with the ability to keep confidential information secure

·  Articulate and poised; projects professional image

·  Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written) to all levels

·  Strong organizational, time management (prioritization) and multi-tasking skills

·  High attention to detail with the ability to identify problem areas proactively

·  Proficient in MS Office (Word,  Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), experience with HRIS systems a plus

·  Customer service orientation with the ability to relate to all levels of staff

·  Good problem solving and analytical skills

·  Desire to continually upgrade skills, knowledge and abilities in the human resources profession

·  Ability to work independently with minimal work direction

·  Sense of humor a must
