Our Golden Facility has an opportunity available for a talented General Supervisor . This position will be located in Golden, CO.Position Summary: Responsible for coordinating the work involved in the production of high quality ceramic/metal products. Essential Functions: May be responsible for more than one department with other supervisors/leads reporting to them; highest level of employee supervised is either hourly or exempt level supervisors. Leads, coaches and provides effective feedback. Trains, assigns duties, and supervises employees engaged in production. Ensures quality control standards are not violated. Supports and creates effective teams, units, and environments. Impacts and promotes organizational strategy and vision. Helps employees understand how they impact business strategy. Completes objectives through supervisors or managers or senior exempt specialists who have significant latitude. May set direction for a major, multi-functional unit or department. Work received is in the form of objectives based on organizational goals and company policy. Work is reviewed in terms of meeting the organization’s objectives. Has responsibility/accountability over the unit/department for budgets, schedules and planning. Possesses the ability to use the computer system for departmental functions. Willingly accepts responsibility of sharing skills and knowledge; trains other employees. Understands and meets or exceeds quality standards; seeks to minimize error rate. Participates in continuous improvement efforts. Supports and helps to implement new ideas. Performs detail-oriented tasks utilizing high language and math skills. Requires extensive knowledge and expertise in the specified area. Responsible for multiple shifts. Education, Training, and Skill Recommendations/Requirements: Bachelor’s degree preferred Minimum five years prior supervisory experience preferred.
