Forecasting Planning Manager - Accounting

PURPOSE

 

This position reports directly to the Controller and responsible for all budgeting, forecasting and financial planning. This position will be an important member of the financial management team to scale the Company and develop the systems and processes.  Position will work closely with Company’s Controller and Management in developing plans, reports and controls. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS  

Planning and Forecasting  â€“ Business Measurements & Analysis and Interpretation of Same

 

Operational/Financial Reporting Review

Financial Plans vs Actuals profit and loss, balance sheet, sources/uses of cash. Assist operating management with operating plan development in support of corporate goals

Financial Benefits vs Risks – ROI, P&C and Benefits Insurance, Alternative compensation plans and at risk structures

Forecast profit and loss, balance sheet, sources/uses of cash

Measurements & Results – periodic (daily, weekly, monthly) dashboarding of key financial and operating metrics

 Responsibility Financial PlanningDevelop annual budget by working with all levels of Company’s management.Compensation/Performance Measurements Processes – Call Center Performance/Payment AnalsysPrepare and distribute weekly operating performance metric reports.Develop business model and systems to manage budget process and be able to effectively update forecasts and report on actual vs. budget/forecast results. Develop and perform various metric reports and analysis to properly analyze actual results and trends.Work with Controller in systems selection for new financial systems.Key member of general and admin team in helping hire new employees into team and scale the dept. Participate as part of Company wide finance team in establishing department goals.

· Systems Review & assessments for data utilization

· Familiarity with all GAAP and Audit requirements.

 

 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS Education, Training and/or Experience

· Degree in Accounting or Finance

· 5 - 10 years Finance & Planning in a mid market manufacturing company Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Personal Characteristics· Peachtree, Sage, JD Edwards Software Understanding/Data Extraction· PowerPoint, Excel, Word)· Finance and Planning (also, exposure to strategic planning preferred)· Report Writer experiences on multiple software platforms· Dashboarding· Team Leader - Player
