Executive Director of Strategic Marketing and Brand Management
The Strategic Marketing/Brand Management Department is responsible for creating awareness and promoting understanding of Quincy College and its educational mission. The department develops and implements strategic marketing, communications, and media relations initiatives to cultivate relationships with the College’s various stakeholders and build awareness with current and new target audiences. It maintains the integrity and consistency of the College’s brand identity across all of its communications vehicles; oversees the design and production of all communications materials; and provides communications support to the College’s various departments.
Under the direction of the Vice President, Administration, the Executive Director of Strategic Marketing and Brand Management is a creative and strategic senior leader who will play an essential role in the college’s transition by developing and initiating a new institutional identity and branding campaign for the college. The Executive Director is primarily responsible for the development, coordination, and management of all branding and strategic marketing related activities of Quincy College. The Executive Director will oversee the planning and execution of contracts to secure services at competitive prices and act as a liaison between internal and external stakeholders regarding strategic marketing and brand management issues. The Executive Director will safeguard, steward, and advance the reputation of Quincy College through effective strategic marketing and branding initiatives. The Executive Director will also oversee and manage the integration of the brand into all internal and external communications, including print and digital media. Serve as a leader of project management for strategic marketing and brand management, which includes management of internal revenue resources and management of external vendors as required under the guidelines and rules in force. Occasional local travel may be required. The following are the competency statements and corresponding performance standards required for the position:Work with leadership in every division of the college to develop consistent messages in all communication channels. Manage a small team and coordinate campaigns for strategic marketing with different offices. (Admissions Office, International Student Services, President’s Office, Student Life Office and Corporate and Community Development Office). Provide direct management oversight over publications and strategic marketing materials, including website applications and print and digital advertising. Develop a strategic marketing plan and manage Quincy College’s brand by aligning message and mission in every aspect of the College’s communications and advertising. Effectively manage a small team to meet organizational and departmental goals. Secure and execute relevant contracts and manage all aspects of these services in a timely manner and according to schedules. Build relationships with students, faculty, and other internal and external stakeholders to further strategic marketing and branding initiatives. Identify, develop, and initiate new strategic marketing activities to promote growth with targeted markets. Work closely with the senior leadership team to promote the college and develop and implement strategic marketing initiatives that will effectively brand the college and support its mission. Oversee efforts to maintain and update the Quincy College web site as part of the strategic image development initiative. Oversee the development of all strategic marketing materials and activities, including internal and external advertising. Manage supplies and resources. Other duties as assigned.
Educational Criteria: Bachelor degree required; Master’s degree preferred.
Qualifications: Five (5) to ten (10) years successful strategic marketing/branding experience with three (3) years successful leadership experience required. Must have creative and strategic marketing background and the ability to work independently to create a strategic marketing vision for the college. Must have a commitment to serve a diverse community of students and staff.
