The Workers Compensation Research Institute (WCRI) is a highly regarded, non-partisan public policy research organization focusing on the performance of state workers’ compensation systems, including issues related to health policy, designing income benefit programs, dispute resolution, and incentives affecting labor supply. This is a central operational position that involves planning, managing processes and people, clearly communicating expectations, measuring results achieved, and continuously improving processes to achieve organization objectives. The successful candidate will need to multi-task, have superior organizational skills, and communicate with executives and vendors on a regular basis. This is a hands-on position.
Responsibilities
• Manage day to day workflow and administrative activities
• Oversee the internal and external publications processes
• Recruit and train administrative staff
• Manage all aspects of office management
• Provide administrative support for the Deputy Director
• Other administrative duties as requested
Requirements
• 2+ years of management and coaching experience
• 5+ years of Executive Assistant experience supporting a senior executive ideally from research, publishing, consulting or law firm
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Excellent business judgment
• College degree
• Good technical skills with Microsoft Office

• Takes initiative to improve processes
