Entry Level SQL Database Administrator

Summary:

W.B. Mason is currently seeking an Entry Level SQL Database Administrator with 1- 3 years of previous SQL of experience administering SQL Server 2005 / 2008 in development, test, and production environments. Ideal candidate should be self-motivated and able to work independently. Must be able to provide 24 X 7 production support.
Job Responsibilities:
Working with SQL Administrator, Infrastructure Manager, Development Team, and Support Team to maintain the reliability of the environment, and assist in troubleshooting issues as they arise. Day t0 day monitoring of SQL Environment, performing schedule maintenance and applying patches/updates as required. Performing code promotion between environments, while ensure the integrity of the code base and the separate environments.

Desirable Experience/Exposure: · SQL Server replication
· SSRS support and report deployment
· SSIS package deployment
· SQL Server cluster support
· Experience with maintaining large databases

Candidate Requirements:
· SQL Server installation, patching, and upgrades
· Database backup/restore including copying databases from production to test severs
· Good working knowledge of database security concepts
· Strong troubleshooting skills
· Familiarity with SQL Server Profiler, and Windows Performance Monitor
