Energetics is accepting applications for a Production Editor/Writer to work in our Washington, DC office. This position will be part-time. All applicants must be U.S. Citizens.
Education/Experience:
This position requires a Bachelor’s in English, Journalism, Communication, or related field and 2-5 years of continuous experience.
Responsibilities:
The Energy Copy Editor will support our client staff in preparing long reports and articles on a diverse array of technical topics including Distribution Operations Best Practices; Energy Efficiency & Demand Response; Generation, Fuels & Environment; Information Management & Telecommunications; Renewable & Distributed Energy; and Transmission & Substation Assets. This position often entails presenting complex energy issues in writing to very knowledgeable audiences and decision makers. The editor will also be responsible for copyediting several long reports. Experience writing in Energy Efficiency a plus.
Skills/Abilities:
Candidates should have a desire to explore a wide range of power delivery issues. They should be well organized; logical and well spoken; able to work with a diverse team of industry specialists; have superior writing skills and attention to detail; and advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office suite.
