Our continued success and growth has produced a need for Electronic Technician position in our Salem VA location. Job Description:Perform service and repairs on electronic fire alarm systems and other related building system products at customer sites.  Service, troubleshoot and install many different manufacturers including Simplex.  Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, submittals, specifications, software/systems programs, and operational product manuals. Manage daily call activity and program system products, including networking and programming. Assist customers with all questions and concerns in a timely and professional manner.This position provides services to customers in SW and Central Virginia areas (2hour radius of Roanoke VA)Good oral and written skills in order to communicate with our customers and office personnel Qualifications:Preferred Qualifications: •  Knowledge of test equipment: oscilloscope, multimeter, digital & battery analyzer, frequency meter, decibel meter.•  NICET Certification •  Minimum 2 years experience with installation, programming and service of the Fire Alarm Systems.·  Experience with Windows operating systems, Microsoft Applications and spreadsheet creation is essential.·  2 year Associate Degree in electronics or related field a plus. Minimum Qualifications:·  Must be 18 years of age·  High School Diploma·  Valid Driver’s License with a good driving record·  Must be able to pass a drug screen and b background check·  Have or be able to obtain State of VA DCJS (Dept. of Criminal Justice) Certification.· Ability to work overtime and be placed on after hours on-call rotation schedule  Only applicants that possess the minimum qualifications will be considered.  Candidates must successfully complete an employment background investigation and drug screening.  SimplexGrinnell offers excellent compensation and benefits program, including educational assistance, employee stock plan and matching 401(k) plan.  For more information on SimplexGrinnell, please review our home page at:  www.simplexgrinnell.com  SimplexGrinnell is an EEO Employer M/F/D/VPlease email mailto: rebjones@simplexgrinnell.com or fax 540-389-7005 Contact InformationBecky Jones SimplexGrinnell 1390 A.
