CORT, a Warren Buffett/Berkshire Hathaway Company and the leader in the furniture rental and sales industry, is looking for a hands-on manager for our distribution/warehouse operations at our Tampa Distribution facility located in Tampa,FL.

CORT is seeking an aggressive, people-oriented, self-motivated, leader with a strong operations and logistics background.
Responsibilities will include:
• Personnel Management - foster a working environment that promotes open communication and employee relations;
• Customer Service – manage to ensure a positive attitude of customer service as being #1 goal;
• Inventory Management– managing product condition, inventory accuracy, security, delivery, pick-up, storage, disposal, cleaning, repair and purchasing;
• Scheduling - manage the scheduling, routing, and control of all trucking activity to ensure efficient delivery and pick-up of furniture;
• Department Interaction – coordination with other district department heads to ensure coordination of warehouse activities with other district functions relating to rental, purchasing, and retail.
• Safety – ensure an environment of constant safety awareness and that closely adheres to safety standards as set forth by Company, OSHA, DOT, HAZMAT.
• Budgeting--minimizing costs and maximizing profitability by interpreting profit and loss statements.
Requirements
The ideal candidate for this position:
• will possess at least 3 years of successful hands-on management experience in running a distribution/warehouse operation of 10 or more employees in a service related industry;
• will have a strong personnel management background of motivating, directing, and developing personnel;
• will have successful history of time management;
• will have a strong commitment to customer service;
• will be computer literate; and
• will have experience with bar-coded inventory management
• must have a basic understanding of how to determine and interpret Profit and Loss Reports
