Director of
Communications & Education

Schedule: 35-hour workweek with flexible core hours

Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, you will manage legislative communications and strategies, media relations, electronic publications and website, and seminars and events and serves as the Press Secretary to the Chief Executive Officer. This position also develops and oversees seminar and event budgets, writes speeches, and responds to inquiries from members, other organizations, and the general public. Other responsibilities include working with contracted service providers such as PR firms and photographers during event coordination. This position manages three direct reports and is responsible for generating communication pieces, publications, and website content.

Qualified Candidates Will Possess:Bachelor's Degree in Business or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience Experience in government affairs and knowledge of the political process is preferred, along with database and word processing experience Association, insurance or financial background is preferred Supervisory experience is necessary Proven strong writing, editing, and communication skills



This position offers a competitive compensation of $40K - $48K (doe)  and a comprehensive benefits plan.
