Position Purpose: Oversee the online strategy for the March of Dimes. Take the lead role for the Foundation in using new media capabilities to promote mission, outreach to existing and new audiences through the March of Dimes social network, and drive revenue. Work extensively with all departments to execute the Foundation’s strategic plan on the Internet and mobile platforms. Oversee internal communications and efforts involved in content development and production of new sites. Work with external sponsors on executing joint e-business strategies.
Position Responsibilities:
Oversee online strategy for the March of Dimes. Coordinate and lead the efforts of area content experts and internal staff to continually enhance and maintain an innovative and up-to-date web site which supports the Foundation’s strategic plan. Work with appropriate senior managers and others as to develop goals, plans, budgets, cost/benefit analyses, priorities and policies for the Foundations’ web presence. Oversee development and maintenance of 52 chapter sites, 5 major sites and a minimum of 7 micro sites. Work closely with others in the marketing department to: Build sites, re-launch sites, support internal Donor Database group, support direct response, lead enhancements for online fundraising applications/usability, lead efforts in second life, product development of current sites, chapter event sites, mobile integration, tracking/reporting/metrics, development Electronic assets, executive co-marketing programs, etc. Oversee a team of producers. Oversee relationship with design and developer team. Create and maintain e-communities and fundraising platforms. Qualifications Required: BA degree plus 5-7 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience. Project management, e-business, implementing metrics and measurement systems expertise are critical. Proficient MS Office and database skills, Internet expertise a must. Excellent understanding of content management systems, online usability, programming languages, design, production, etc. Strong planning skills and ability to plan for and meet deadlines. Excellent communications skills. Ability to build highly effective working relationships at all levels. Ability to manage client relationships. Excellent understanding and experience with online communities. Proficiency in SEO. Proven ability to manage budgets. Project management, creative and forward thinking, - visionary. Must be flexible and able to work very independently.
