Data Processing Analyst - Direct Mail Company

POSITION:   Data Processing AnalystREPORTS TO:  Mailing Manager POSITION SUMMARYTo process data files provided by our clients according to specific requirements provided by client services. Manipulate data files and create necessary output as required by the Client Services Department to complete the job.  KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (Including but not limited to the following)Ensure proper rates, weights, sizes and data are used to process data files.Run CASS certification on all list provided by clients.  Merge/ Purge, presort, de-dupe, nth select, key code, scan signatures, and produce laser labels when necessary.Convert files, create, edit and/or print documents and form letters utilizing PC database, word processing and desktop publishing software.Ensure paperwork contains proper permit holder name, permit number, specs, entry point and postage statement.Quality Control all paperwork involved with job ticket.Ensure proper bag/tray tags are provided for assembly. Maintain accurate records of completed work.Maintain client data files and keep appropriate back-up files.Maintain equipment supplies on printers, forms, labels, tags, and other supplies necessary to perform daily activities.Work with Client Services to receive project specifications and to insure work meets with clients expectations. SKILLS AND EXPERIENCEMust have solid knowledge of computers and a working knowledge of database programs

(MS Excel, Postalsoft, BCC2010, etc.).

Excellent knowledge of Word, Excel, Windows

 

High School Diploma – Minimum, Post-secondary - preferred

Good communication and human relation skills

Ability to problem solve

Apply flexibility, intuitiveness and creativity to problem solving

Full knowledge of postal regulations, direct mail and fulfillment functions

Maintain high quality standards while working against deadlines
