The Data Architect produces data governance, data integration, and data quality solution for information sharing within an enterprise. They provide data analytics, data models, and data exchange packages for the visualization, movement and storage of information for a community of interest. Included is producing specification, prototypes, physical storage design with supporting metadata references, distribution and navigation and visualization capabilities for information concepts. ? The Data Architect provides visibility with an Enterprise Data Architecture on what data is used, who access it, where it is store, and how and what methods are used in the data transformation within the data usage lifecycle. In addition, the Data Architect supports producing information standards, metadata references, data quality standards & processes and controlled vocabulary (integration of multiple data dictionaries) framework. ? For data models, the Data Architect provides and collaborates with the client on organizing a vocabulary and reference model with details on concept labels, usage profiles, and user references to support usability and discovery of information within the documents, enterprise websites, intranets, and/or online and batch systems or applications. It includes modeling in a relational environment (Entity Relationship Diagram) or for an internet environment with a network graph (XML, Resource Description Framework) environment that coordinates the concept definition, context, and relationship of data in several or hundreds of distinct databases. Position-specific Requirements: ? 3 to 5+ years experience with data modeling (Entity Relationship Diagram)? 3 to 5+ years experience with XML and related technologies? 3 to 5+ years experience with UML? 3 to 5+ years experience with relational databases.? 3 to 5+ years experience data modeling work experience ? B.S. degree in relevant major fields.? Due to the nature of the project US Citizenship and an Active SECRET Clearance is required. Position-specific Desired Skills:? The candidate understands the data architecture disciplines in EA frameworks, such as FEA, Zachman, DoDAF or others, and produces the related artifacts accordingly.? The candidate has experience with data governance, metadata management, master data management, data integration, cleaning and harmonization, and data warehousing.? The candidate understands SOA? The candidate has minimum of 5 years of data architecture work experience and total of 10 years of IT industry experience.?
