 About the Position

 

This is a challenging opportunity that will allow you to help shape our IT and Operations systems.  The position is responsible for software development, database design, and implementing analysis of stored company data.  This position answers directly to the IT Manager.  This is a long-term growth position with significant influence on our corporation’s development and it includes advancement opportunity. Each project assigned to this position will have its own set of technology requirements, and should appeal to those who like to be constantly challenged.  Exemplary attendance is required and will be rewarded.

 

 

Responsibilities

 Coordinate changes to computer databases and test and implement the database applying knowledge of database management systems. Convert project specifications and statements of problems and procedures to detailed logical flow charts for coding into computer language. Develop and write computer programs to store, locate, and retrieve specific documents, data, and information. Tune applications and database to increase performance. Conduct trial runs of programs and software applications to be sure they will produce the desired information and that the instructions are correct. Compile and write documentation of program development and subsequent revisions, inserting comments in the coded instructions so others can understand the program.  Develop customized data modeling and analysis tools. Plan, coordinate and implement security measures to safeguard information in computer files. Consult with managerial and technical personnel to clarify program intent, identify problems, and suggest changes. Perform revision, repair, or expansion of existing programs to increase company operational efficiency or adapt to new requirements. Program web sites to integrate with back-office systems. Provide Tier III support for custom developed applications.

 

 Required Skills

 Programming:  Visual Studio 2005 for development with .net 2.0, .net 3.0, C#, and C++ Database:  Microsoft SQL 2005 Reporting: Crystal and SQL reports Math:  College level probability & statistics and algebra Excellent attention to detail

 

 

Compensation and Benefits

 Salary range is $60K to $80K, depending on experience.Medical, dental, vision, and other benefitsCompany paid holidays and paid vacation
