Customer Service Representative UPMC Health Plan is hiring a full-time customer service representative to help support the day to day operations of the Member Services department for its downtown location. The customer service representative acts as an advocate for Health Plan customers (member, provider, facilities, etc.) by providing guidance, interpretation, and education on benefit coverage levels, claims payment, and various program inquires.Job Responsibilities:·  Answer and document incoming inquires from UPMC Health Plan customers·  Follow up on/documents actions required to service inquiry from UPMC Health Plan customers·  Conduct outbound calls to clarify follow up and resolve inquires from customers·  Provide exemplary customer service by being proactive and responsive to all UPMC Health Plan customer requests·  Perform in accordance with system-wide competencies/behaviors Basic Qualifications:·  High school graduate or equivalent required, college degree preferred·  Minimum of six months of customer service and/or call center experience·  Proficiency in typing required·  Ability to make independent decisions required·  Knowledge of Microsoft Office and Excel spreadsheet program preferred·  Basic analytical skills necessary to evaluate customer inquires·  Demonstrates good organizational skills We offer a variety of benefit options designed to provide personal security, convenience, and assistance to you and your family.
