Working as a Corporate Undercover Investigator working covertly in Corporate America is exciting and fulfilling. We are seeking qualified and responsible candidates who are not apprehensive of challenges and are self-starters. The candidates should be highly motivated, organized, and have strong communication and people skills. They should be able to travel throughout the United States at any time without any reservations, anywhere from three to five months, and willing to work any shift, overtime, weekends, and holidays if necessary.
An investigator’s primary job responsibility will entail that they covertly obtain and report important information of interest to their assigned investigation supervisor. The information is communicated both verbally and electronically using an assigned laptop computer on a daily basis. In circumstances involving serious criminal matters, investigators will be under the controlled supervision of local, state, and federal law enforcement authorities in the primary jurisdiction. Every investigation will present new and exciting challenges for operatives. Our elite team of investigators has earned a reputation for producing positive results for many Fortune 500 companies, some of the most successful businesses, law firms, and law enforcement agencies in the world.
As an intricate member of the investigative team, investigators will gain knowledge and experience in many facets of workplace theft and narcotic investigations. Often times, during an investigation an investigator will make hand-to-hand buys of controlled substances and stolen property. These unique opportunities take years to secure if one were working in the public sector for a major metropolitan Police or Sheriff’s department. Our investigators will often obtain information during a case regarding all or some of the following: Employee drug use Drug Trafficking Theft Sexual harassment Company Sabotage All other company policy or violations of the law
Carefully screened and successful candidates will be selected to participate in DRM, Inc.’s comprehensive training on the art of undercover investigations which will include the following: Art of undercover investigations Case preparation and courtroom testimony. Signs and symptoms of the drug abuser. Entrapment laws Chain of custody and evidence handling procedures Investigative report writing Drug identification
Investigators will also receive additional training on a quarterly basis for updates on new drug trends, changes in laws, and other related topics.
Investigators will experience travel and assignments nationwide. The position of undercover investigator is a highly specialized position and only the most qualified applicants are selected. As crime rises, so does the need for highly trained Investigators.
Minimum DRM, Inc.’s Investigator Requirements: Must be able to work all shifts, holidays, overtime, and weekends if necessary Travel 3-5 months at a time either out of state or in state Possess a major credit card (debit card is not acceptable) for expenses; all case related expenses are reimbursable Clear accurate report writing skills is a must Bilingual skills (Spanish) is preferred Pass a pre-employment drug screening test Undergo a thorough background investigation Successfully complete DRM, Inc.'s Undercover In-house training Be willing to relocate frequently throughout the United States
Pay & Benefits:
We offer above average starting pay for both experienced and entry-level investigators. Entry-level Investigators may start at $15 per hour, depending on their background and skills. Health benefits are offered after 90 days of employment and the employer pays 75% of the costs. All out-of-town expenses are paid and any case related items are reimbursable. We also pay for one hour of report writing and any time spent for off-clock social activities which will guarantee an investigator at least one hour of overtime each day while working on a case. In addition, after 12 months of employment a $1,000 sign-on bonus is given.Â
Experienced investigators will eventually have the opportunity, based on performance and company needs, for promotion or transfer within the company to many managerial positions which may include case manager, surveillance, business development, education and training, or administrative.Â
