Atlantic Media’s Corporate Research team – a group that conducts market and strategic research to support our media brands and new ventures – seeks an Analyst to join our ranks. The Corporate Analyst will conduct primary and secondary research, both quantitative and qualitative in nature, to inform corporate strategy and serve internal and external corporate clients. Intellectual curiosity, excellent analytical skills, superior professionalism, exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, strong communication skills and a great sense of flexibility are required.
Research and AnalysisResponsibilities:
·Develop research proposals and project plans for informing key business decisions – such as corporate strategy, new business development and product enhancements.
·Conduct primary research, such as: designing, executing and interpreting surveys; coordinating,conducting, and documenting interviews; planning for and managing focus groups
·Manage and analyze large quantities of internal and external data (e.g. survey results, webmetrics, qualitative responses, etc.) to distill pertinent, key insights
·Synthesize and interpret key findings for internal corporate clients and external audiences
·Prepare a variety of documents for internal and external audiences (e.g. research proposals,project updates, briefings, key findings, formal presentations, white papers, etc.)
·Support the thinking and creation of new research products and services
·Stand ready to assist on other fronts as needed in addition to primary responsibilities above
Key Attributes of the Ideal Candidate:
·Acute intellectual curiosity and creativity –i.e., the instinct to “go deeper” on interesting, often unexpected information
·Strong analytical and synthesis skills –ability to boil down extensive qualitative and quantitative research findings into relevant, actionable insights
·Strong written and verbal communication skills—ability to present findings in clear and concise formats
·Business acumen –understanding of general business principles and dynamics
·Excellent quantitative and data management skills—facility with statistical analysis and reporting or the ability to get quickly up the curve
·Familiarity with market research techniques and/or web analytics
·Resilient and positive attitude and strong interpersonal skills; skilled at working both independently and in a team; seeks to help others excel
·Drive to consistently meet deadlines and maintain focus, even under pressure; ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize your own work
·Resourceful and proactive—ability to locate and procure (difficult to find) data and information and identify new and better alternative sources
·Tolerance for ambiguity and shifts in direction
·Unyielding attention to detail
·Bachelor’s Degree
·1-2 years post-collegiate experience preferred
