Chosen candidates will own and manage an inventory of assigned accounts that are either in early or late stage collections status. Based on assigned workflow, agents may be responsible for skip tracing accounts, contacting past due customers, negotiating payments and payment arrangements, manually sending collection letters to past due customers, and following with customers after conducting research on account inquires. Basic Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent Preferred Qualifications: The successful candidate will excel at the following competencies and skills: -Strong communication skills with customers, management, and peers through phone, e-mail, and in person -Self-motivated with ability to take initiative -Strong team player -Careful attention to detail -Strong adherence to compliance polices and department procedures -Track record of solid attendance -Previous call center experience- preferably inbound and outbound -Working knowledge of Windows (Outlook, Microsoft Work, Microsoft Excel) along with basic typing skills -Previous skip tracing experience and FDCPA knowledge preferred but not required Before you become a Capital One Associate, look closely at our associate benefits package.  It’s all about benefits that will make a difference in your life…your health…your wealth…your family…and your time.
