Job ID: 15441Location: Simi Valley, CARelocation Provided: NoneEducation Required: Bachelors DegreeExperience Required: 1 - 3 YearsPosition Description: Acts as liaison between IT and Business units at senior level; Possesses knowledge of the business units’ objectives, processes and products; Supports users in building business case, including cost/benefit analysis, risk assessment, and project scope; Performs detailed business requirement gathering and analysis; Supports development of effort/cost estimates; Supports development of application conceptual design, testing and implementation activities; Acts as a liaison between Farmers IT and outside IT organizations (vendors).Position Requirements:* Determines operational objectives by studying business functions; gathering information; evaluating output requirements and formats* Performs impact analysis of applications changes across various components/systems, holding and end-to-end view of the system* Creates and maintains Functional Requirements/Specifications, Preliminary Systems Design* Creates and maintains Use Case(s), Business Process Flows (current/future), User Interface Prototypes, System Diagrams, Data Flow Diagrams* Supports the Application Subject Matter Experts (Systems Analysts) in development of estimates / validation of suppliers’ estimates* Performs quality review checks on project deliverables; Requirements validation through hands on testing* Review/Handle Defects during various phases of QA* Provide On-Site and/or Off-Site Support during implementations* Supports Production Support Team with problem cause/resolution* Improves systems by studying current practices; designing modifications* Recommends controls by identifying problems; writing improved procedures* Provides input to and supports Training Group * Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; benchmarking state-of-the-art practices; participating in professional societies* Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed* Interacts with and Supports Business AnalystsPosition Attributes:* Experienced Requirements Elicitor* Ability to Facilitate Requirements Gathering Workshops* Technical background (logic minded)* Experience using RUP (Extensive experience writing Use Cases, User Interface Specifications, System Diagrams, Data Flow Diagrams, Business Process Flows)* Knowledge / Use of CRN (Farmers’ Claims Customer Restoration Network)* Knowledge of Farmers’ Policy Processing Systems* Excellent Oral Communication skills (position utilizes phone & web conferencing heavily)* Excellent Writing skills* Excellent Interpersonal skills* Experience acting as a liaison between Internal & External IT groups.Additional Information: Travel Percentage: 1%
