Position: Business Development/ Sales - Selling Consulting Solutions & Project Based Engagements

Location:  Chicago

Travel Required:  Only in the Metro Chicago Region

Salary Range:  $250,000 Target Compensation

 

Company Description:  Professional Services Consulting Company with a full range of offerings. 

 

Requirements:  Our client is solely a project-based firm; the sales executive plays a critical role in the organization, as they are the ones that drive the lifeline of new revenues to the company. You will be expected to develop new business and work with the delivery managers to support, grow existing clients and flow all projects from cradle to grave.  The BDM is expected to own the client relationship while working with the delivery managers to ensure an ongoing high level of value to the client. Our client is looking to add 3 sales people each will have a focus in a particular solution offering 1) Microsoft Solutions 2) IBM Solutions; 3) Oracle and 4) Supply Chain.  Your prior success within one of these solution offerings is a MUST. Any prior contacts, pipeline, and/or clients that you might bring to the table will be a huge plus.  You will hunt, farm, and develop existing clients of this firm so all your talents will be called upon to be successful. You will be looked to build a pipeline, identify, and cultivate the channel relationships that are imperative to success. You will prepare the proposals, value propositions, execute the presentations, negotiate contracts, and coordinate the delivery teams. Bachelor's degree is required and an MBA is preferred. Must have at least 3 years of a successful and reference able track record. Communication skills are essential.

 

Duties: You will interact with all levels of the process, from the channel partners, executives of the clients, internal delivery team and recruiting. You will be asked to know the market, solutions and the competitors you will be run up against - as this organization prides itself on being the best of the best - and the way they accomplish this is through knowledge.  To gain more education you will go to industry functions, and numerous educational seminars along with any fitting networking events.
