 Middle Market Business Development Representative

 

The Business Development Representative / Account Executive is an outside, business to business sales role working for the industry leader in the fast-growing electronic payment processing arena. This position covers Boston and the Boston metropolitan area, selling payment processing and merchant services solutions to middle market business customers.

Responsibilities:
• Sells Chase Paymentech's merchant services to new business customers in an assigned geographic area to achieve or exceed assigned revenue objectives.
• Targets Mid Market businesses or any prospects whose total annual card volume is between $1 million and $100 million.
• Contacts and visits prospective customers to determine the customers' needs and performs sales presentations to match company's products with identified needs.
• Sells products through face-to-face contact.
• Generate annual revenue of $280 to $350 thousand.
• Works from a home office.


 


Requirements:

• At least 3 years of business to business (B2B) sales experience.
• Proven outside or field sales experience.
• Ability to self-source own leads through a combination of cold-calling, networking, referrals and other sources.
• Proven ability and desire to cold-call.
• Track record of hitting and exceeding sales goals.
• High school diploma or equivalent is mandatory, while a college degree would be a plus.
• Experience in merchant services or payment processing would be beneficial, but not essential.
