Business Development Associate- Southern, CT
Responsibilities:Due to growth and expansion, Staples Business Advantage is looking for a driven and motivated sales superstar as an addition to our Business Development team. In this position the right candidate will implement sales strategy and ensure the company meets revenue and profit objectives through targeted prospecting of Mid-sized to Large accounts. This team member must be able to call on those who influence decisions and decision-makers within accounts and schedule face-to-face contact with prospective buyers. Business Development Associates must be able to manage the transition of new accounts to designated Account Managers. The right candidate must be able to develop new business primarily through in-person contacts, phone follow-up, and presentations.Qualifications:We need driven, smart sales executives who can THINK BIG to develop new and existing business: open new doors, establish, build accounts. You must be a self-starter with proven energy and motivation, willing to find, develop and close sales leads. You must be results oriented, self motivated, and driven by both financial and career opportunities. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential. EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE NEEDED: College Degree. 1-3 YEARS+ OF SUCCESSFUL SALES EXPERIENCE. Knowledge of products, pricing, competition and sales objectives. Time management skills a must! Industry knowledge a plus.
