Business Developer – Outside Sales
As a Business Developer you are a major contributor to our success and the success of our customers. You create the critical "first impressions" new prospects use when selecting the solutions provider they want to partner with. It’s a challenging role. As a member of the sales team you take ownership for leading the sales process from prospecting to close, develop and grow customer relationships, actively seek opportunities to solve problems and create solutions, and welcome the chance to provide superior customer service and on-going support.

Partnering with decision makers in HR, security, legal, risk management and other functional areas you will leverage Vertical Screen’s superior services, outstanding industry reputation, and unparalleled customer support to compete for and close new business opportunities.
Qualifications:
3+ years professional, outside sales experience in any of the following areas: applicant/background screening, HR solutions (payroll, compensation & benefits, time & attendance, etc.), Software as a Service (Saas), information services, outsourcing or business services
Demonstrated success managing the full sales process including lead generation, prospecting/cold calling, relationship development, proposal writing, negotiations, closing opportunities, and client follow-up
Proven success achieving quota in a service-oriented sales environment
Experience working effectively from a home-based office
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Demonstrated ability to differentiate yourself and develop business relationships via the telephone
Superior time management, decision making and problem solving skills
Computer proficient using MS Office applications, the Internet, and sales reporting software; experience using Salesforce.com a plus
Experienced leading Web-based demonstrations
Confident, enthusiastic and motivated by success; is highly self-directed and brings a positive "can do" attitude
Strong emphasis on personal integrity and professional ethics
