Business Analyst - Finance/Consulting

Position Concept:

To provide support to Custom Solution projects and activities by being an integral part of the project team.  This includes strong computer, analytical, writing, communication and time management skills.  This position also requires a commitment to helping firms get results in a competitive business environment.

Responsibilities:                                                     

§         Support APQC individual and consortium projects and methodologies.  Activities include:

§         Provide administration support on projects

§         Contact and screen potential “best practice� partners.

§         Assist in development of data collection instruments

§         Synthesize and analyze information and research into meaningful key findings and best practice attributes.

§         Assist in the preparation of presentation material and final reports

§         Work as a team member on multiple projects, develop timelines, and ensure projects are completed with high customer satisfaction when necessary.

§         Brief project manager on status of projects (weekly)

§         Assist in the administration of individual studies (project binder, project files, contact and screening, meeting logistics)

§         Assist Center of Excellence with the data entry of information in customized databases and spreadsheets for projects and activities, include the analysis of metric data and information.

§         Understand process improvement, benchmarking, change management, and TQM tools and applications.

§         Engage in continuous training to improve skills.

§         Represent APQC to customers as requested

Qualifications:

§         Proficiency in using PC computer hardware and software such as: Windows, Word, Powerpoint, Excel, Access, Internet browsers, e-mail

§         Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines while maintaining a high level of professional standards and quality.

§         Creativity and flexibility, high energy, and strong work ethic

§         Ability to listen and communicate effectively

§         Strong problem-solving skills

§         Excellent oral and written communication skills

§         Strong interpersonal skills

§         Qualitative and quantitative analytical ability

§         Demonstrated ability to work in a team-based environment.

§         Through understanding and commitment to Total Quality Management principles.

§         Solid understanding of business processes (3 - 5 years exp. in a business environment a plus).

§         Education—Bachelor’s degree required
