Application Developer

We are currently searching for an Applications Developer to work in our office located in Trevose, PA. 

 

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:Develop web applications, web services, COM + Applications, windows services as per specifications or instruction, all while following appropriate procedures and using appropriate frameworks.Follow specifications, plans, designs, in order to develop complex and business critical software solutions. Utilizing appropriate software engineering best practices, individually or in concert with a project team. Understands and consistently applies the attributes and processes of current best practice development methodologies. Write efficient, high performance code in a timely manner in order to complete a task.Researches and maintains knowledge in emerging technologies and possible application to the business. Work closely with Project Management team in coordinating team tasks and deliverables.Work closely with Architect, Lead Developers, and Lead Designers to follow the technical standards and share knowledge with team.Perform support development tasks on a daily basis at the same time as product development tasks.

 

Qualifications include:

· Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Information Systems, other related degree preferred, or equivalent work experience

· C# and ASP.NET web application experience

· Knowledge of change control technologies such as VS 2005 Team Foundation Server and Visual Source Safe

· Ability to work both independently and as part of team of developers required using the MSF Agile and XP Software Development Methodologies

· Excellent written and verbal communication and time management skills.  There will be interaction with employees at all levels such as Director Level, Project Management, Technology Management, Quality Assurance, Development Group, Product Support, and internal clients

· Must be able to adhere to a production schedule defined in cooperation with management and other team members.

Web Server:   Internet Information Server (IIS)

Application Server: COM+

Reporting: SQL Server Reporting Services, Crystal Report

Tests Required:   C#, SQL, ASP.Net 2.0

 

Development experience using the following technologies:C# – Minimum 1 year, 2 years preferredASP.NET 1.0, 2.0 preferred – Minimum 1 year, 2 years preferredASP.NET Ajax 1.0 – Minimum some exposure.NET Framework 2.0 – (any 3.0 or 3.5 for WCF, WF, and WPF a plus) – Minimum 1 year, 2 years preferredSQL Server (T-SQL) – Minimum 1 year, 2 years preferredJavaScript – Minimum 1 year, 2 years preferredCascading Style Sheets (CSS) – Minimum 6 months, 1 year preferred

 

ColdFusion development experience is a plus
