Alumni Relations Coordinator

The Alumni Relations Coordinator is responsible for assisting in the management, development and implementation of the UCLA Law Alumni

Relations Program. Incumbent will coordinate event logistics, alumni board meetings and activities, Reunion program and activities, public relations

and marketing functions, and oversee alumni communications. In addition, incumbent will develop and maintain alumni database and

administer for multiple Law School alumni relations programs.

 

This position reports to and receives general direction from the Annual Fund Director. Incumbent is expected to collaboratively help solve professional

advancement problems, and exercise a considerable degree of independent judgment, creativity and initiative in the performance of the job duties of this position, and to possess a sophisticated understanding of complex and competing fund-raising priorities.

 

Serve as the primary Alumni contact including troubleshooting problems and addressing requests in an expeditious manner.

 

Qualifications:

 

Bachelors degree is preferred as candidate Must analyze data trends to create and maintain complex databases, tables, and reports. Ability to work some overtime, evenings, and weekends for fund-raising special events. The candidate must posses strong interpersonal skills to interact courteously and effectively with co-workers, volunteers, donors, and key University officials, maintaining composure under pressure and to work as part of a large team. Knowledge of alumni relations principals and techniques sufficient to complete a variety of projects and assignments successfully and with minimal supervision as well as  Impeccable integrity and discretion in dealing with donors, alumni, students, administrators and colleagues. The selected candidate must have general knowledge of basic gift terminology and the ability to apply that language to achieve the goals of an alumni relations program.

 

Strong organizational skills and ability to work effectively under conditions of heavy work load, frequent interruptions, distractions, and deadlines. Strong working knowledge of fundraising principles and techniques sufficient to complete a variety of projects and assignments successfully and with minimal

Supervision are preferred.
