The Alcatel-Lucent Ventures initiative, a combination of the pre-merger Alcatel Internal Ventures and Bell Labs Technology Commercialization, is responsible for creating new businesses for Alcatel-Lucent through supporting proposal development, funding selection decisions, venture governance, and business transition activities. One such venture, the Lena Venture, is launching a  RFID B2C offering under the Tikitag brand. Tikitag enables consumers to trigger online actions via simply touching RFID labeled things with NFC Mobile Phones or PC RFID readers. Applications range from travelers requesting info about a tagged monument up-to young ones interacting with the PC via tagged toys. Tikitag’s platform associates and triggers the right application when a consumer reads a RFID tag.  Tikitag provides an open application-creation platform: via comprehensive DIY tools any application builder or web-literate consumer can create own RFID applications share them on Tikitag’s website and define which actions are associated to which tags. To boost the range of RFID B2C applications, Tikitag has build a web2.0 go-to-market strategy addressing the creatives and web-literates on the net to build or configure and share their own RFID based applications. In a second stage, a partner strategy is envisioned to cover various verticals.  including Media, Entertainment and Advertising. Tikitag links physical merchandise with online premium content. “Static” toys, books, and other merchandise get enriched with online games and other rich content .Therefore the Venture is looking for a business development manager for Home Applications. As the team is the most important asset of a venture, we are looking for enthusiasts to join our team. As a venture we believe in hard teamwork and the spirit to stretch ourselves to get the product onto the market. In return we offer the opportunity to start up a new web 2.0 consumer business from the beginning, to actively participate in the strategy and the key decisions and to work in a dynamic, non-hierarchical, learning and open atmosphere.   Responsibilities:  Responsible for Sales Revenue out of Entertainment and Advertising industry: Music labels, Toys industry, Merchandising, Event organizers, Loyalty program providers… Interact with Product Management to define and agree on vertical specific roadmap requirements  Interact and Marketing and Communications to steer appropriate marcom roadmap Evangelization of the Tikitag on industry events At least a five year’s Business Development  experience in a Media, Web or Consumer Electronics environment Outstanding knowledge of the industry Well-networked in any of the following industries: Media, Entertainment, Advertising Entrepreneurial and flexible Excellent negotiation and communication skills Minimum BS degree Other: Location: the team is based in Antwerp, Belgium, but given the nature of the partner management activity, the location will be an ALU site in USA Alcatel-Lucent is an equal opportunity employer committed to diversity in the workplace.
