Administrative/Research Assistant in the Outdoor Sports Industry

Position Overview:

 The Administrative/Research Assistant position includes entry-level duties combined to support both the Research Department and general office administration.  This is a full-time (40-hour per week) position providing foundational and multi-faceted support essential to all areas of Leisure Trends Group. 

 

Summary of Essential Functions:

 

In support of the Research Department, duties include data entry, client contact list maintenance, survey processing, Consumer Research report production, bulk mail processing and oversight, survey/mailroom equipment operation and maintenance scheduling, maintaining mail/shipping supplies, prize winner selection and prize coordination and inventory management, and survey form inventory control.

 

Administrative clerical duties in support of the Controller include accounts payable invoice/payment matching, mailing, and filing; accounts receivable invoice sorting, mailing, filing and check matching; file reconciliation and annual archiving.

 

General administrative and front office support functions consist of front desk reception duties including answering and routing telephone calls, greeting guests and visitors, coordinating conference room meetings and maintaining the large conference room; mail and shipping responsibilities (in conjunction with those performed for the Research Department) include receipt/sorting/distribution of incoming mail, preparing and posting outgoing mail and FedEx shipments; and upkeep and maintenance of client files.

 

Abilities:



Good communication skills with a positive attitude and a willingness to seek direction as needed.  Strong attention to detail, good time management and ability to problem solve.  Ability to work independently as a self-starter by taking initiative, and as part of a team with the flexibility to manage multiple projects simultaneously. 

 

Skills:



Experience in survey technology and the use of scanning equipment preferable.  Experience using Microsoft Office products and a willingness to learn new software programs is required.
