The Account Executive will focus on developing new relationships with potential accounts within the specific region or territory. This role requires telephone sales skills, presentation skills, relationship building skills (both with prospects and staff). An occasional outside sales call may be required.
Main Tasks/Responsibilities: Drive revenue from new businessWork in coordination with the Regional Manager and Director to drive new businessUtilize a strategic sales approach for specific accounts (e.g., low volume, reduced volume, upcoming projects)Document all client calls and transactions in the appropriate CRM application Work effectively with all departments to ensure proper handling of customerMaintain sales activities as determined in compensation planMaintain and expand positive interdepartmental communication and teamworkProvide accurate and frequent referrals to other sales teamsMonitor local broadcast news on daily basisComplete annual employee performance appraisalAdditional duties as assigned by the Regional Manager or Director
Experience:Prefer 1 to 3 years of sales experience focused on development of new businessExperience in cold calling Strong ability to develop relationships with top-level executives at target customer s sitesA communications, public relations or journalism background is preferredExperience selling into the PR vertical is preferredStrong communication and closing skills
