Web Producer

HarperCollins Publishers seeks a Web Producer to join the Internet Development Group.

Primary Objective:
The Web Producer is a hands-on development role in support of multiple e-marketing and website projects in a fast paced environment. Responsibilities include operational maintenance, new page development and HTML and CSS creation. Working knowledge in variety of web development tools including: CSS, .Net, HTML and C# required.

This position is a junior C# developer role with potential to take on further development responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:
Work with various internal teams including marketing managers, technology, and design to obtain all necessary information and specifications to address design/functional issues within the HC website portfolio.

Build C# data layer objects to expose database information based on technical specifications.

Build user controls to interact with HC.com presentation layer and membership framework.

Provide technical support for legacy systems and prepare migration plans.

Ability to write documentation, including data standards, procedures and definitions for the data layer.

 

Manage and orchestrate quality assurance using outside resources as needed.

Job Qualifications:
Minimum of 2 years experience in web design lifecycle, preferably within direct marketing, media, entertainment, or consumer products

Proven skills in Microsoft Visual Studio, C#, .Net, Adobe Suite, HTML, CSS and Flash

Exemplary problem solving skills

 

Self-starter with good time-management (multi-tasking) skills

 

Ability to organize and prioritize information

 

Strong oral, written, organization and presentation skills
