Web News Executive Producer

WTVD, the ABC owned station in Raleigh-Durham, NC is seeking a Web News Executive Producer who will be responsible for the daily editorial content of abc11.com.  

Specific responsibilities include:

·       Supervises daily content flow through web producers and reporters

·       Responsible for efficient content approval and deployment process

·       Attends all editorial meetings and collaborates with reporters, photographers and Web producers to develop web exclusive content to give more depth to daily news coverage

·       Schedules on-call rotation for web producers and takes turn being on-call

·       Attends all planning meetings for sweeps and special projects to develop and execute web content to supplement broadcast material 

·       Collaborates with Director of Web Operations on content management issues and growth opportunities in new content areas.

Qualifications:

·       At least 3-5 years experience managing broadcast, on-line or print content at a local television station, website and/or newspaper.  Supervisory experience is a plus

·       Must have a strong command of web editorial practices and guidelines

·       Must be a strong writer for print and be able to transcribe quotes and scripts into readable stories quickly both in office and on the road

·       Must be adept at using web publishing tools and or can quickly learn new web applications and programs to publish daily content
