SUMMARY DESCRIPTION: The Video Editor/Producer is responsible for the creative direction of video and multimedia projects; facilitates the production of a variety of video types; edits video; assist with videography ; coordinates graphical/audio requirements and leads special video projects (as assigned). FUNCTIONAL ACCOUNTABILITIES: • Coordinate the editing of video/multimedia programs to specified formats for broadcast and/or production. • Work with videographer to insure relevant, creative and quality content is captured. • Maintain editing environment • Coordinate with various team members/others in to facilitate delivery of multimedia product that meets the needs of our various internal customers.. KEY COMPETENCIES/SKILLS: • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills necessary to deal with internal and external contacts, with the ability to interact cross-functionally at all organizational levels • Strong listening, creative thinking, and relationship building skills • Ability to identify/define issues and develop concise responses • Demonstrated troubleshooting and analytical skills • Ability to rapidly gather, create actionable information, and develop recommendations • Integrity, energy, initiative and collaborative/team player orientation • Must be able to work independently, prioritize work load, project manage, and display high-level organizational skills • Working cross-platform expertise between Mac and PC environments • Ability to multi-task and thrive in a fast-paced environment • Must be a team player; combined with the ability to work independently and handle large manageable assignments/projects WORK ENVIRONMENT: • Strong teaming environment • Travel • Occasional and/or extended work hours (when applicable) BASIC QUALIFICATIONS: • Four year college degree in Communications (i.e., new media, TV or radio), Journalism, and/or equivalent media production experience • Requires a minimum of 3 years practical work experience with non-linear editing (preferably AVID or Final Cut Pro) including editing experience in a commercial post-production environment. • Working knowledge of media post-production activities; including encoding video for the web, DVD encoding, authoring, and duplication/stocking of source material & masters *Our total compensation approach includes a competitive base salary, strong work/family programs, 401k program and medical, dental and disability coverage.
