Perform analysis of Nielsen proprietary data, including television crediting system results, inputs, configurations, and processing logs. Analysis can be performed on data quality, trends, or system performance. Analysis is performed for production and test-bed systems. The analyst will service client requests and auditing requests, and will perform analysis to proactively improve system quality.The position requires a detail-oriented individual, with the ability to understand system processes where data are transformed through an application of algorithms and business rules. The analyst must have the ability to use their system understanding to draw conclusions and predict results if provided a set of inputs. The analyst must be able to summarize the results of their analysis with diagrams, charts, and descriptions. The analyst should have the ability to create repeatable analysis procedures which can be performed for similar analysis requests.The analyst will work in both a Unix and Microsoft environment. Data will be accessed from unix files and from Sybase databases.QualificationsA demonstrated expertise in analytical tasks.A detail-oriented individual, with the ability to understand system processes where data is transformed through an application of algorithms and business rules.
