Senior Financial Analyst, Financial Planning & Reporting

Warner Bros. Entertainment Inc. seeks a Senior Financial Analyst, Financial Planning & Reporting for the New Line International Releasing department. Position will prepare & analyze actual results for the quarter/month end closing process: Record revenue and expense accruals. Decide appropriateness of balance sheet classifications – contingent liability assessment/disclosure & asset impairment testing. In-depth knowledge of accounting rules to ensure proper recognition of revenue and expenses are being followed. Prepare financial statements. Prepare quarterly footnote disclosure and legal analysis. Make decision on variance explanations/cause of change schedules. Independently manage the by-title reporting and issue resolutions. General ledger maintenance and stewardship: Ownership of all GL activity and assessing completeness and accuracy. Approve inter-company activity for NLIR & other WB business units and resolve discrepancies that may arise. Ensure all account balances are properly supported and that the overall condition of the general ledger is clean and free of discrepancies. Prepare and consolidate forecasted financial statements and all supplemental schedules, (including by-title revenue and costs) for all forecast cycles and prepare all variance explanations. Prepare the monthly deliverables to Corporate Finance related to cash forecasts, profit & loss vs. plan and theatrical & television ultimates into SAP and other enterprise systems. Primary responsibility for uploading financial data to the divisional and corporate enterprise applications (SAP, BW). Primarily responsible for developing, implementing & issuing a common set of management reports and key performance indicators in the various enterprise systems to allow management to measure performance. Independently prepare and update third party distributors on final approved production budgets and determine revisions to minimum guarantee calculations. Special projects.

Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required. CPA or MBA required. Minimum 3 years work experience working with accounting/finance or related financial area required. Previous “Big 4� accounting experience strongly preferred. Must be able to travel domestically and internationally (approximately 10%). Must be proficient in Windows, Excel, Access and Word. SAP/Oracle knowledge preferred. Must be able to communicate effectively and tactfully with managers and other levels of personnel, as well as outside clients. Must be able to pay close attention to detail. Must be able to work well under time constraints. Must be able to work in a fast environment. Must be able to handle multiple tasks. Must have the ability to organize.
