The Sales Support Engineer is responsible for the supporting the needs of the Affiliate Sales and Network Sales departments as well as managing, promoting, and selling-in TVN products.

 

Primary Duties involve:

 

Attend client meetings with Account Managers and present and/or respond to questions regarding all technical aspects of the TVN business

Maintain technical relationship of all TVN Affiliates and Content Providers

Work with Salas and Marketing departments to create, organize, and disseminate TVN product information

Organize, manage, and perform live demonstration of TVN products at trade shows, user conferences, road shows, etc.

Gather client needs and present them to the product development staff

Track product releases and identify features and benefits

Obtain period updates from the Operations department and explain operational issues in client meeting

Assist in creating technical documentation, including bids, and ensure format consistency

 

Requirements:

 

The applicant must have a minimum 5 year background in Cable Television and/or broadcast environments. Vocational or technical training in the television broadcast field is highly desired.  A background in Video on Demand, Broadband Video, and content management and delivery systems a plus. The applicant must have a good presentation and communication skills. Must have the ability to learn and adapt in a continuously changing environment, must be able to gain a broad knowledge and subsequently explain of all of the technology in use at TVN.  The applicant must be computer literate and familiar with Windows based applications. Must be able to work closely with other departments effectively. This is Director level position, requires up to 75% travel, and reports directly to the Vice President of Technology.
