QA Analyst - Reporting Team (150-122)

The Senior Analyst I will be responsible for assisting the QA Manager in coordinating testers and monitoring test activities throughout the full software development life cycle, including gathering of requirements, resource allocation, development and implementation of test plans and test cases, bug tracking, integration testing, and regression testing.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
* Assist in coordinating and monitoring activities of testers
* Confers with QA Manager to review requirements and production schedules.
* Develop and execute detail oriented test cases based on requirements (and creativity).
* Produce Status Reports on projects
* Produce detailed daily bug reports/updates
* Lead multiple testing projects simultaneously
* Assist in testing and deployment of products and features
* Perform other activities and duties as requested

Skills:

* Must have advanced working knowledge of quality assurance methodologies.
* Advanced working knowledge of HTML, JavaScript and other scripting languages
* Experience in testing Data Warehouse applications (ETL and Report)
* Experience in writing complex SQL queries (Oracle & Netezza)
* Knowledge of Data Warehousing concepts
* Ability to understand data models (both Logical and Physical), structures and technical documents necessary to perform QA activities.
* Ability to understand business / transformation rules which are involved in developing the source to target mappings
* Should be able to write test scripts (SQL queries) to reflect those rules and be able to validate the mappings by running these test scripts and checking if the data in target table populates correctly.
* Data analysis and problem solving skills
* Working knowledge of handling ETL tools (Data Integrator(DI), Abnition etc ) --preferred
* Working knowledge of reporting tools (BusinessObjects XI, Xcelsius etc) --preferred
* Able to plan and setup Data Warehouse and Reporting test environment
* Should be able to deploy ETL / Reports code from DEV to QA environments.
* ETL / Report development background (Good to have)
* Experience with testing tools such as QTP and QC (Mercury)
* Advanced working knowledge of Windows and Unix operating systems
* Advanced troubleshooting skills
* Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
* Strong written and verbal communication skills

Education / Experience:

* Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
* 4-6 years experience in Quality Assurance or Technical Support with at least 2 years in a lead role
* Or relevant combination of education and experience
