Bertelsmann Recruiting Services (BRS) is an entrepreneurial department within Bertelsmann AG, one of the foremost global media companies, with a family of brands including Random House, SONY BMG, BMG Music Service, Columbia House, RTL, and FremantleMedia producers of many reality tv shows such as American Idol, The Price is Right and Family Feud.

We currently have the following opportunity available for an Online Video Internship in our New York office will provide all the tools, video equipment & resources to successfully perform this internship.

Your tasks

Video Content Creation & Management for International Jobs & Careers websites
Shoot, edit, and upload to web interviews of employees, company locations to internal & external web properties
Assist in the creation of recruitment strategy and how we as a company can better utilize and maximize the video medium moving forward to attract the top tier talent to our companies
Video Job Postings (Pioneering a new approach to showcasing our company opportunities)
General Video Collateral Material

Our requirements

Current student in the video field
Tech Savvy & ability to upload video to the web
Ability to edit on Adobe Premiere
Desire to be the Ron Howard of online recruitment video content (at least for this internship)
Real Team Players (Do you have what it takes to quickly assimilate and contribute to a highly functioning team)
Well-rounded, knowledgeable, hard-working, and have a sense of humor
Go-getters, people with initiative and drive - individuals who can take responsibility (Are you inspired and are you inspiring, do you rise to the occasion when presented with a challenge?)
YOU MUST BE RESOURCEFUL (Can you emulate some of the Jack Bauer styling in the workplace?)
You must be well-rounded, knowledgeable, hard-working, and have a sense of humor (We all like to have a little bit of fun, but please remember that we still have deliverables and deadlines).
Individuals who bring their experience, ideas, and goals to the table and make everyday, every situation - a positive one (Is the glass half-full?)
If you are not detail oriented, this isn't the internship for you! (You must care about every aspect of your work.

We are looking for individuals who can commit to our group for at least 1 semester, learn, and potentially grow with us. Minimum of 3 days and 18 hours per week (actual timing to be based on your school schedule).
As part of the application process we would like to assess some of your online-video work or editing. Therefore in your cover letter, please attach links to samples that you have created.

Interns must be able to receive college credit, as this is a non-paid internship (We will be more than happy to provide your educational institution with any documentation or applications that they may require).

However in return you will receive a wealth of information, a weekly lunch stipend, free books and CD's, and the chance to work with a world-class entrepreneurial team!
