The Center for Learning is a system service, office in the THR Pavilion on the Arlington campus. The Center for Learning is part of People & Culture. The department includes the following functional areas: Academic Programs Clinical Internships Leadership and Management Development Learning Technologies Although based in Arlington, the department's influence can be seen system-wide. The Center for Learning's focus is on growing employee skill sets, knowledge and practical experience to positively impact our business and improve patient care. Hours are 8:00am-5:00pm, Monday-FridayMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: - Bachelor's Degree is required in Education, Instructional Design, Instructional Technology or related field. - 4+ years experience designing learning interventions incorporating instructional design techniques. - Work samples, including both writing and design samples will be requested. (Functioning online courses are preferred). - Ability to work on multiple tasks/projects to ensure deadlines are met - either independently or as a member of a team. - Superior software proficiency in Microsoft Office - preferably in Dreamweaver, Captivate, Fireworks and Flash. - Proven record of finding unique solutions to complex multi-layered problems (logical and abstract thinking). - Ability to interact and communicate effectively to all levels within an organization. - Ability to conduct research on instructional topics, methods, and media. - Excellent editing skills. - Proven proficiency in using instructional design methodologies and adult-learning theories.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: - Masters of Arts degree is preferred. - Experience in designing clinical, sales, and service-related training is preferable.DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES: - Responsible for providing assistance to an expanding team of Learning and Development professionals around state-of-the-art instructional design practices. - Consult on training and performance improvement opportunities across entities / departments. - Research and promote new approaches to training and performance issues in response to system initiatives. - Research, design and produce grant proposals, video scripts, white papers and presentations. - Support peers in accomplishing their individual objectives/KPIs. - Develop instructional materials by working with Subject Matter Experts to understand aspects of policies, procedures, systems, or skills requiring instruction. - Measures the effectiveness of training programs using various feedback methods (i.e.: focus groups, interviews and surveys).
