IMG Media ( http://www.imgworld.com/media/production/digital_media.sps) is the digital media and technology arm of IMG. As a global leader in delivering new media services to the world of sport and entertainment, IMG Media leverages this experience by providing solutions that enable the acquisition, management, production and distribution of traditional and digital media, from multiple sources to multiple output platforms including Internet, mobile/wireless platforms, interactive TV and television.
IMG Digital Media is currently seeking a Web Developer who will be part of a dynamic team that is responsible for front-end development and maintenance for sports & entertainment-centric and media rich web sites, custom video players and back-end publishing tools. The ideal candidate will have experience working in teams and with project managers to assure projects are delivered on time, objectives are met, and sites are coded according to IMG Media's technical standards. Accountability for delivering on the project goals according to deadlines is a must. The ideal candidate must be able to commute to our New York office on a daily basis and may be asked to travel to clients or live on-site events as part of your position.
The position available is to become a member of a dedicated team of resources specific to one major client, supported out of New York City. Excellent communication skills are a must. Interest in sports is a plus.
(This is a pure Development position. Accountability for delivering on the project goals according to deadlines is a must. The ideal candidate must be able to commute to our New York office on a daily basis and may be asked to travel to clients or live on-site events as part of your position.)
REQUIREMENTS:
• Minimum (3) years experience with software development methodologies and project lifecycles
• Minimum (2) years experience in developing web application with classic ASP and ASP.net is a must. You will be working on websites that are attract a high volume of traffic, are high profile and require 100% uptime.
• Expert-level knowledge of HTML, JavaScript, and CSS.
• In-depth experience with CSS style inheritance, object-oriented JavaScript, DOM, and AJAX.
• Experience developing XSLT and XML based applications.
• SQL 2000 and 2005 knowledge.
• Experience with Photoshop/CS2.
• Solid understanding of browser compatibility issues, W3C standards, accessibility guidelines, and optimization techniques.
• Proven experience working with Content Management Systems.
• Experience with mobile development, RSS, Macromedia Flash.
• Familiarity with source control solutions and IDE tools such as Visual Studio and XMLSpy.
• Experience with ad servers, behavioral targeting, and analytics systems a plus.
• Deep understanding of cross-browser development techniques and issues.
• Self-motivated, excellent analytical abilities, creative problem-solver, ability to plan and organize, attention to detail.
