Human Resources Internship
HarperCollins Publishers is currently looking for a bright, dynamic, Human Resources Intern for the upcoming fall. In this position, you will gain exposure to all areas of Human Resources by working closely with our entire staff. This is a great way to gain hands on experience with an exciting, fast-paced creative company in the field of Human Resources.
Responsibilities: Learn how to post jobs on different web sites and internally.Schedule candidates for in person and/or phone interviews.Research new job sites on the internet.Supporting HR department on a range of training and development initiatives.Planning, preparing for and helping execute employee programs and events and attending departmental meetings and/or seminars.Become involved with various Human Resources projects.Other responsibilities as necessary.
Requirements:
· Interest in the Human Resources field
· Coursework in Psychology, Human Resources, or a related field a plus
· Excellent interpersonal, listening and communication skills
· Good organizational skills with the ability to handle numerous details
· Excellent computer skills, including all Microsoft Office programs and agility in internet research
· Ability to maintain confidentiality
· Diligent work ethic
· Customer service skills
· Ability to thrive in a fast paced environment
· This is for college credit and is not a paid internship.
