Director of Financial Planning, CABLEVISION

Cablevision Systems Corporation is one of the nation’s leading entertainment and telecommunications companies. The company’s advanced telecommunications offerings include its iO: Interactive Optimum digital television, Optimum Online high-speed Internet, Optimum Voice digital voice-over-cable, and its Optimum Lightpath integrated business communications services. Cablevision’s Rainbow Media Holdings LLC operates several successful programming businesses, including AMC, IFC, WE tv, and other national and regional networks. In addition to its telecommunications and programming businesses, Cablevision owns Madison Square Garden and its sports teams, the New York Knicks, Rangers and Liberty. The company also operates Radio City Music Hall, the Beacon Theatre, and the Chicago Theatre and owns and operates Clearview Cinemas. Responsibilities:  The Director of Financial Planning will serve as the corporate liaison with heads of business finance and operations to help oversee completion of annual budget and quarterly forecasts.  Additionally he/she will provide executive support for corporate transactions including acquisitions, joint ventures, divestitures and other special projects and provide direction that is consistent with the Company’s corporate strategy, goals and objectives.  Specific responsibilities include:  Providing senior management with the necessary analytical framework, both quantitative and qualitative, for the business decision-making process. Interacting with business finance and Corporate Development in merger and acquisition activity and carrying out diverse projects including potential deal structure formulation, assessing risks, recommending alternative courses of action to executive management and assisting in the coordination of company wide due diligence efforts. Preparing monthly reports on business results for Board of Directors and Senior Management. Providing financial support to Investor Relations and Treasury. Assisting in responding to information requests from equity and debt investors, and rating agencies. Coordination of special projects as needed. Qualifications:  7+ years Financial Planning experience and knowledge of corporate finance function (e.g., corporate valuations, capital structure). BA required, CPA/MBA and knowledge of the media / telecom industry preferred. Ability to thoroughly design, build, and execute complex financial and statistical models. Ability to understand and analyze trends, evaluate processes and develop improvements as well as manage projects across functions. Excellent communication skills and track record in preparing effective presentations. Proven track record in working with external parties (e.g., investment banks, rating agencies) Proven ability to work with senior management.
